What's my comic collection worth?
Most collections land somewhere between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars, and usually a small handful of issues carries most of that. Send me a photo or a description and I'll tell you which books matter, roughly what they sell for, and where you can check that yourself.
Do you pick up comics in Florida?
Yes, and there's no charge for it. I pick up collections of 500 books or more anywhere in Florida, from Pensacola to Key West. Smaller lots can be dropped off in Winter Garden or shipped with a prepaid label I send you.
How fast do I get paid?
The same day I take the books, before anything gets loaded. Check, Zelle, or cash for smaller amounts, and you get an itemized receipt.
Do you buy inherited or estate collections?
Yes, and about half of what I buy comes from families settling an estate. I work with executors and heirs, can put a written valuation in writing for probate, and can take the whole lot so nobody is left with boxes to deal with.
Should I sell my comics or get them graded first?
For most collections, sell them as they are. Grading costs $25 to $100 per book and takes months, and it only pays off on books already worth several hundred dollars. If something in your collection is worth grading first, I'll tell you, even when that means you sell it somewhere else.
Is it better to sell to a buyer or on eBay?
eBay can bring more for an individual key issue, if you're willing to photograph, list, pack, and ship each one and absorb roughly 13 percent in fees plus returns. I pay less per key book but take the whole collection at once, including the boxes eBay buyers will never want. Plenty of people do both: sell the top two or three books themselves and sell me the rest.
Do you buy comics in bad condition?
Older ones, yes. A Golden or Silver Age key with water damage is still worth real money. Modern books in poor condition usually are not, and I'll say so.
How do I know your offer is fair?
I name the key books and tell you what recent sales look like, so you can check GoCollect, CovrPrice, or eBay sold listings before you decide anything. I'd much rather lose a deal than make an offer you can't verify — this business runs on referrals.
Do I've to decide right away?
No. Take a week, get another opinion, talk to your family. Nothing about my offer changes because you thought about it, and I'll not chase you.
Do you buy from shops or dealers?
Yes. Backstock, store closures, and dealer collections anywhere in Florida.
Do you buy other collectibles along with the comics?
Original comic art, vintage toys tied to comic characters, and trading cards when they're part of a comic collection. Not coins, stamps, or sports memorabilia.
Do you come out to The Villages and Ocala?
Often. I'm based in Winter Garden, about an hour south, and I'm up that way regularly. I can usually get to a collection there within a day or two.
