Privacy policy

The short version

Page & Panel is one person — Joseph James, in Winter Garden, FL. I collect the least I can get away with, I use it to answer you and buy comics, and I don't sell it to anyone. Ever.

What I collect, and why

• What you tell me directly. If you use the chat, text, call, or email me, I get whatever you send — usually your name, a phone number or email, roughly where you are, and photos or a description of your collection. I use it to work out an offer and arrange a pickup. Nothing else.
• Chat messages. The live chat is run by Tidio, a third-party service. Your messages and a chat cookie are stored on their systems so the conversation is still there if you come back. Their privacy policy governs that part, and it's at tidio.com/privacy-policy.
• Basic site analytics and advertising. If you arrived from a Google ad, Google may set a cookie so it can tell that its ad worked. I see counts — how many people clicked, how many called. I do not see who you are from that.

What I don't do

• I don't sell, rent, or trade your information. There is no list, and no one buys anything from me.
• I don't send marketing emails or texts unless you've asked me to.
• I don't ask for a Social Security number, bank details, or a card number. If you're ever asked for those in my name, it isn't me — call (407) 494-3140 and check.

Who else sees it

Only the services that make the site work: Tidio for chat, Cloudflare for hosting, and Google for ads and search reporting. Each has its own privacy policy. I don't hand your details to other comic dealers, lead brokers, or anyone else.

How long I keep it

Chat transcripts and messages stay while they're useful, generally a couple of years, so I can look back at a collection we discussed. If we do a deal, I keep the receipt and the record of what I bought for as long as tax and business record rules require.

Deleting your information

Email info@pageandpanelcomics.com or text (407) 494-3140 and ask me to delete what I hold on you. I'll do it and confirm. You don't need to give a reason, and it costs nothing. The only exception is records I'm legally required to keep after a purchase.

Cookies

This site sets very little. There's a chat cookie from Tidio, and a Google advertising cookie if you came from an ad. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings — the site still works, though the chat may forget your earlier conversation.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a collection belongs to a minor, I deal with a parent or guardian.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here is retroactive.
